In recognition of our mother’s 60th birthday, we honor her with an enriching array of opportunities to experience and engage the many cultural aspects of Spain. We selected this theme as the complement and completion of her exploration into the Iberian Peninsula, a journey that began a decade ago in Portugal on her 50th birthday.
This commemoration commences her birthday week with a festive fete of enjoyment and elegance around the culinary expertise of Tapeo (the art of eating tapas). Then, each month she will undertake a series of readings and activities to enhance her understanding of Spain and its culture, from gastronomy and oenology, to music, arts and architecture. Finally, her festivities will culminate in an autumnal voyage to the cities of Madrid, Toledo and Barcelona in Espana.
We invite everyone to join in these activities, both in person and online, as we all celebrate and learn along with her on this adventure.
